[ NEW COURSE ] Pessary Management for the Physical Therapist

8 Contact Hours | Course participants will understand the key principles of pessary fitting and management and use critical reasoning skills to select the appropriate size and type of pessary through didactic work, case study review, and hands on lab training using medical models and practice on fellow course participants as able.

[ UPDATE ] Addressing Member Concerns Regarding the Position Statement on the Use of Chaperones

Since the recent publication of the Position Statement on the Use of Chaperones, the Academy has received a number of concerns, questions, and editorial suggestions from members from across different practice settings. The Academy is providing the following information in a question-and-answer format to provide clarity on the position statement development process, address legal and financial concerns, and provide the future outlook for position statement development.

Submit a Position Statement Topic Nomination

The Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (APHPT) develops position statements relevant to pelvic health physical therapy practice, health policy, and social concerns impacting pelvic health physical therapy professionals and the health of patients. A petitioner (an APHPT Board member or the APHPT member-at-large) may submit a position statement topic nomination to the APHPT via this form. All submissions will be shared with the Board of Directors and the Practice Committee for consideration. For any questions, please contact practice@aptapelvichealth.org.
